[Kirk nods. He presses himself against Vander as they keep dancing]

That's fine. It's... a date then.

[He leaned in so that he could rest their foreheads together.]

Yeah, it's a date. Better prepare yourself for a night of fun, okay?

[Kirk looks up at Vander with shy look. Maybe he should ask Hernan on what he should do on a date...]

Ah... I will.

[cantilevers]

[He could practically see the wheels turning in Kirk's head. It clearly had been awhile for the other man.]

Good, and don't overthink it, Lamprey. It's for fun, remember?

[godsandbats]

[Kirk nods though, yes. The wheels in his head are still turning]

For fun. Right. I'll try not to overthink it.

[Though it's a lot easier said than done for a socially awkward introvert scientist]

[He nodded his head slowly, aware that Kirk was going to overthink it. That's just the other man's nature, and Kirk was clearly rusty when it came to having an actual good time out and about.]

I appreciate the effort.

[He kissed Kirk's forehead and stopped their swaying, slowly releasing Kirk while also observing if the other man may not want to stop.]

[Kirk slows down with Vander. However, his hands continue to linger onto the older man, as is the rest of us body]

This was nice.

[He slid his arms around Kirk's waist and stepped up again. He nodded his head.]

It ended nicely. I think it was a rough start for you. Thank you again for trusting me with that information.

[Kirk gives another peck on the lips]

Thank you for listening.

[Especially as Vander is the first non-Justice League person to know the details of how Kirk was betrayed]

You're welcome. There's nothing I can do to make up for what you've been through, but I'll support you in whatever you need, Kirk.

[He leaned in for a longer and deeper kiss. It was meant to be supportive, but he was very aware it was more than that.]

[Kirk kisses back and decides to let himself get lost in the physical pleasure. Just a pause from thinking about things like vampirism, blood, betrayal, and grief. Vander’s embrace feels good and seems less complicated for now.

He wraps his arms around Vander’s torso]

[He lingered in the kiss as Kirk leaned into it as well, letting them enjoy the simplicity of physical closeness. His fingers massage the small of Kirk's back as he felt those arms around him, and he waited for Kirk to provide him a bruising hug.

He nibbled on Kirk's lower lip in a teasing manner, mimicking a fake bite.]

[Kirk softly hums in pleasure as Vander massages and nibbles him. He keeps pressing himself onto him, drinking in his warmth]

[His arms curled around Kirk's waist, and he made a point to lifting the other man off of the floor as they kissed for longer. Slowly, he did pull back, nudging their noses together affectionately.]

Thanks for the visit, Kirk. Don't over think the date, okay?

[godsandbats]

[Kirk nudges back affectionately, feeling mostly emotionally safe again]

I'll try not to.

[cantilevers]

[He slowly set Kirk back down on his feet again. He smiled, adding one last peck on the lips before he pulled back.]

Good. I'll see you very soon. You good?

[godsandbats]

[Kirk nods]

I'll fine. I... look forward to our date.

[God, this feels a bit surreal]

[cantilevers]

[He nodded in return, slowly disentangling his arms from around Kirk and then stroking his knuckles across the other man's cheek.]

Good. I like spending time with you. I'm looking forward to it too. Bring your sense of fun.

[Kirk was totally going to overthink it.

If anything, that amused him as he stepped away and put some distance between them so he could slip off and grab a shower before work.]
